What is my story?
I was born and raised in France. Most of my life was near Lyon where I met my husband Guillaume (you can call him Gee), at 17 in our last year in High School.
We left France at the age of 20 to come to Scotland. Originally, it was for one year for our studies but we decided to stay! Clearly the best decision! Every time I say that to people, they always ask me why. Well it’s pretty simple, we love Scotland for its landscape, culture but mostly its people!
Since the age of 15 I had the idea to become a wedding planner and it never left my mind. After my Business degree, I studied Wedding planning and got my degree. Soon after I graduated, Mademoiselle Wedding was born!
5 random things about me
- I absolutely love watching TV and I can spend hours binge watching a serie…
- Disney has no secret for me! When I was young I had all the VHS of the Disney movies and all the animated books!
- I bake a lot in my spare time.
- I love animals! I grew up with cats and dogs and I cannot imagine living without them!
- For 6 years, I practiced horse riding in France but I had to stop because of my studies.
5 fun facts about me
- I love to dance for fun, I used to have all the Just Dance games on Wii. If you watched Love Actually, imagine me having moments like Hugh Grant in my kitchen!
- My eyes change colours depending on the weather. I tend to have them green when it’s sunny outside and blue/grey when it’s rainy.
- I have some OCD for certain things, my dad always said that circles cannot fit in squares with me…
- I’m a real clown! I love making jokes and funny things to make my friends laugh.
- A word to describe me: clumsy. You can be sure that if there is a corner to meet my knees I will find it or occasionally drop objects on the floor…
Why Wedding Planner?
They are several reasons, which I have detailed in a recent article but in short:
- I am a huge romantic and weddings make me dreamy
- Organisation is one of my biggest skills
- My dream job is to combine my skills with what I love
- I love the idea of helping people realising their dream wedding/event
- Being the witness of a magical moment between two people in love
What are the values of Mademoiselle Wedding?
What I value the most are honesty, trust, integrity and commitment. These values follow me both in my personal and professional lives. They are the foundation of all my relationships and are really important to me. When I work with couples, I always work in team and ensure everyone is involved in the process. I truly believe that we work best in team! Therefore, it was natural to me to incorporate the values I cherish the most into Mademoiselle Wedding!
What is my priority when working with couples?
Creating a great relationship with them is one of my priority. Sharing a trustful relationship with my clients helps me to better understand their needs and offer them what suit best for their event. I would say it’s included in the relationship but, making sure my clients are happy and satisfied with my service and work is also my priority. My role towards them is to make their life easier for one of the biggest day of their life. If they are not happy with my work then I did something wrong and I will not allow that!
How do I work with my clients?
Two words – very closely. It is vital for me to work in team with my couples. Working in collaboration is so much better than taking the full control of the event I’m planning. I’m a very friendly, approachable and professional person. However, I also want to create a fun and friendly working environment. Have you ever heard of the term “best-wedding-friend”? Well this is how I would like to be considered by my clients. My role is to make my couples feel safe and secure that everything is under control. But I am also there if they need anything else outside their wedding planning process.
During our regular meetings, I ensure that my clients are happy with the progress we are making. I also constantly let them know that I am here if they need anything or have any questions.
